The D-Link DWR-730 portable WiFi router is in the low-middle range of the category. Its system is compatible with a wide range of telephone operators, which translates into a more than satisfactory connection and data exchange quality.

D-Link DWR-730 Review

This device is also compatible with the most advanced 3G technology, HSPA + (H +) which allows it to reach a speed of 21.6 Mbps.

As for the power supply, the D-Link DWR-730 portable WiFi router features a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2380 mAh.

It is certainly not the best, but it can easily be considered sufficient to guarantee perfect autonomy for 6h.

It can also be used directly connected to the laptop connected to a power outlet or connected directly to the mains via the power adapter.

However, it is not possible for the D-Link DWR-730 mobile router to function as an emergency charger.

The wireless standard adopted by the D-Link DWR-730 is 802.11b / g / n, therefore it is a Single Band device (2.4 GHz). Which essentially translates into a maximum data transfer speed, between connected devices and routers, of 150 Mbps.

It should be noted, however, that these parameters will be reachable with only one device connected since the router has only one internal antenna.

Final Words

That’s all for D-Link DWR-730 review. Ultimately, the D-Link DWR-730 mobile WiFi router certainly cannot be defined as the best on the market.

However, it is a portable device that performs the basic functions required, namely internet signal coverage and decent battery life. A device that, in light of the low price, does its duty.
